Harbour Plaza Hotels & Resorts was presented with the Best Local Hotel Chain award at the 21st Annual TTG Travel Awards 2010 Ceremony. With over 48,000 nominations the award was decided by unanimous vote by the readers of TTG Asia, TTG China, TTGmice and TTG-BTmice China.

China UnionPay Cards Make Online Reservation Quick & Easy
Harbour Plaza Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that the China UnionPay (CUP) Payment Gateway has been integrated with the Group's internet booking engine. From September this year, visitors from the People's Republic of China will be able to make online room reservations by using their China UnionPay (CUP) cards.
Participating hotels include: Harbour Grand Hong Kong, Harbour Grand Kowloon, Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees, Harbour Plaza Metropolis, Harbour Plaza North Point, Harbour Plaza Resort City, The Kowloon Hotel, Rambler Garden Hotel & Rambler Oasis Hotel in Hong Kong, and Harbour Plaza Chongqing over in mainland China. In addition, the booking engine also accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express & JCB for online transactions.

China UnionPay, established in 2002, is the national bankcard association established under the approval of the State Council and the People's Bank of China. China UnionPay is responsible for the development of unified inter-bank clearing and settlement system in China and bringing it to international acceptance.
In 2009, the total number of CUP cards issued in China has exceeded 2.1 billion. China UnionPay has also established partnership with around 400 financial institutions all over the world.
As of now, CUP card's international acceptance network has been extended to 90 countries.

(Hong Kong, December 8, 2009) - Luxury 5-star hotel, Harbour Plaza Hong Kong rises to new heights as the property rebrands to Harbour Grand Kowloon on 28th January, 2010. The rebranding follows the announcement of the opening of Harbour Grand Hong Kong earlier this year. The "Grand" in the name signifies the brand's five-star image and luxury offerings. There will be two Harbour Grand hotels in the city, with one on Kowloon side and the other on Hong Kong Island.
